Sara –
I have had these on my commuter bike for a few months now and love them. I have not had any flats and the tread still looks in great shape, even after commuting 40 miles a day. Nice tires!

purchased tire to replace puncture-magnet kenda easy roller sport tire.
no punctures after about 40 miles (still might happen). tire has a herringbone like tread that i sought for pedaling in some loose gravel on paths and roadways. i use as a rear tire (serfas tuono in front) on a internal geared urban bike. thus far the tire seems to have good traction and ride-ability.

A really good city tire at a very reasonable price. Have these on my cross bike that I do lots of mixed riding on. It is exactly as claimed a hybrid tire which is not great off road or on road but decent at both. I have always had really good luck with serfas and flat protection and these seem to be on par with that. You can probably find some better tires than these, but plan to pay quite a bit more. Have 500 or so miles on them no flats so far and minimal wear. Weight is seems light for this type of tire. Great for those who don’t want to spend $50+ on a single tire. Only complaint is my 38’s seems to be on the thin side more like a 34 or 35.

Been using this tire for three years. great tire for all around. It rolls in the corners if you are going fast but it is reliable and does not wear out. I am finally going to get another set. Good buy

I’m very pleased with the VIDA tires recently installed on my Cannondale hybrid/comfort bike . Quality and performance seem to very good. For an older cyclist, the FPS provides peace of mind.” I do notice better rolling resistance than the IRC tires they replaced. I’ve put about 200 miles on them so far and really appreciate their confident handling of: pavement”

Pretty good tires, had them for about 4 weeks now, rode 40+ miles on them and they work great. I put them on my fixed gear and they have good traction and they’re really durable. But I do feel like they have a bit of slag on them, If you’re a serious rider and not just recreational, I recommend getting something a little more slick.

I have over 2500 miles on these tires and have had 1 flat. My 700x 38’s are about 32’s and are faster than many 28’s on the road, only bad thing is they make noise on the road above 17mph.

I recently purchased a Fuji 29er that I ride primarily for fitness. I don’t like road bikes because you really can’t take them off road if you need to. I mostly ride paved trails in our linear parks, but there are still a few times I have to traverse gravel or dirt. The tires that came on the bike were big knobbies, and they were nice, but I wanted something with lower rolling resistance. I asked my local bike shop and they told me about these and I went ahead and had them put on. Wow what a difference they made. The bike flew, and the tires were stable, handled corners well and weren’t bad on some rough patches I negotiated on my 24 mile ride. They’re not off road tires, but if you commute, or ride an MTB for fitness these are the tires for you. I love them.

really roll smooth, not losing much air with these either.
looks sharp and the reflective sidewall makes a big difference.

Ed and Kay of WhistleStop Bike Shop in New Freedom, Pennsylvania mounted a Serfas Dual VIDA 38 on my hybrid bicycle after I suffered a flat arising from another manufacturer’s defective tire.
Two months later, I now have roughly 740 miles on the tire and could not be more pleased with it. I do almost all of my bicycling on the rough surface of a rails-to-trails bike path that passes through a heavily wooded area and is frequently covered with storm debris and thorn bush branches. I am delighted by the tire’s Flat Protection System features, its tread design and its performance. Ed and Kay already had a loyal customer and now Serfas does too.

I’ll give this review an above average because these are the only tires I’ve ever bought so I have nothing to compare them to. That is also a really good thing because I haven’t had to buy new tires in a long time as well as tubes! I am a bicycle courier and I ride my bike ALL THE TIME for the job and for commute in a very busy city with tons of debris on the ground. I have never had a flat. I highly recommend these tires if you’re looking to save money in the long run.

I’ll be totally honest with you. I installed these on my speed commuter bike that has an internal gear hub. These tires execute tight fast turns on pavement very well. On dirt/gravel roads they have decent traction, even when making sharp turns. I have not had a flat tire. I rotated them after 3,000 K and the front tire did not wear at all. The rear tire only wore down the middle a little. For the price this is a very good tire indeed. Because my bike has wide rims (20mm inner diameter) I can keep the tire pressure below the recommended PSI and this tire really performs better with lower pressure. (tire size is 700 X38 C)

Thanks so much, Ron! We’re thrilled to hear how happy your Vida Hybrids have been working out for you, if they ever do wear out we hope you go ahead and pick up another set 😉 Thanks again for sharing your positive experience – The Serfas Team

I mounted up the 38c tires on my cross bike as I was wearing out the CX tires riding on the pavement. I find these tires to have great feel on the road. They seem to roll very quickly on the asphalt, lots of grip in corners. I do use these tires 80% off road and find that they do well on the local fire roads and trails that I ride here in SoCal. So far, on the five rides I have done, the longest being 35+ miles and mostly on trails with goat head thorns I haven’t got a flat yet! The FPS technology works great! I ordered the tires with the reflective band, this reflective sidewall really pops when headlights shine on them. I had a guy in a car ask where he could get a pair when he saw me ride by. Great tire Serfas!

I rarely leave reviews, but I’m compelled to leave one for my Servas Vida 38C. I purchased this tire 2 1/2 years ago based on reviews to replace a Schwalke on my front that was shredded by some street shrapnel. I’m a daily commuter riding about 5,000 miles/year andI have been amazed by this tire’s performance & durability. Granted that this is a front tire and that 95% of my rides are on asphalt, it’s still mind blowing that this tire just passed 11 thousand miles and still keeps going. I think I may have had a 2 or 3 flats (none in the last 5,000 miles!) and I cannot find a reason to replace it. Guess that spare tire hanging in the garage will have to bide its time! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
