Wes Morgan –
This is the 5th or 6th Serfas light I’ve used. Multiple Scorpius 100s, a Spectra 150, and now two of these.
– The USB-C charging port is a nice upgrade.
– There is no “light sensitivity” mode to accidentally get stuck in (this was a personal annoyance)
– The light is taller than previous models others, which makes it more difficult to fit below a saddlebag.
– The power button is disappointing. It is nearly flush with the body, making it difficult to locate by touch; it is also located on the top, so if it is mounted just below a saddlebag it will not be easy to reach. There is also little or no tactile feedback when the button is pressed. The Spectra 150 button was located on the rear of the light and had a very satisfying “click” action so it could be easily located and pressed even while wearing gloves.
– Battery life seems lower than previous models, but the very visible blue “low battery” light is excellent feedback reminding you to charge it.
Overall it’s not a bad light, but the power button is very annoying. My personal recommendation would be to find a Spectra 150 on eBay.
