Very good replacement pad. When first installed front and back they had a slight two to three ride break-in period. Now that they are wearing a bit I am really impressed. They have about 250 miles on them now. Good stopping power with a nice even smooth feel. When hot they fade less than the original Avid pads. This surprised and impressed me the most. A squeak or groan here and there when dirty but not noisy by any means. Not sure about life span yet but I will let you know. I highly recommend these brake pads.

Saved a re-tooling of my brake system! My newest mountain bike came with Avid Elixir 7 brakes. The wrebble” noise and modulation with factory pads was terrible. I begrudgingly decided to change my brakes on this bike from Avid to Shimano because of their terrible performance (I have another bike w/ Shimano brakes). I bought 2 sets of these pads as a last ditch effort and could not be happier. Zero noise”

I have been greatly impressed by these pads! I have a set of Avid Elixir 5 brakes on my Santa Cruz Superlight and,through the years, I have tried several different brands of pads. While running these pads my brakes were never noisy, and brake fade was never a problem. All I experienced was good, consistent braking. I highly recommend these pads!
